Fast Facts about our Financial Aid Program
Fast facts about our Financial Aid Program:
- We use the formula for need established by the NAIS School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) as a guideline for determining a family’s financial aid award.
- Merit scholarships are available.
- Aid for Quaker boarding students is available.
- The deadline for Financial Aid is January 15th. Applications after this date may be considered but Westtown’s ability to provide an award will be constrained.
Aid for International Students is rare and requires separate documentation.
How to apply
- Indicate your interest in applying for financial aid on the Westtown School application for admission.
- Complete Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online (after October 2) by January 15
- Required supporting documentation: your most recent W2/1099 and Federal tax return
- If award is granted: your current 1040 is to be submitted by May 1
- A new financial aid application is required every year and grants can change year-to-year based on changes in financial status
For our international families
- Indicate your interest in applying for financial aid on the Westtown School application for admission.
- If parent(s) income is in U.S. Dollars and parent(s) file U.S. Federal Tax Forms, complete Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online (after October 3) by January 15
- Documentation required (translated into English) will include:
- At time of application: your most recent tax returns or if no returns proof of income (employer pay statement for example)
- If award is granted: current tax returns (by May 1)
- If you do not earn income in U.S. dollars or do not file U.S. Federal tax forms, please complete our International Aid Application by January 15 and send it to the Admissions Office
- A new financial aid application is required every year and grants can change year-to-year based on changes in financial status
